Seminars - Seminars on Pet Care

Our Fall Seminars were such a success, that we will be offering them again in the spring. Check back after the holidays for spring dates.

Pet Care Seminars:

  • K-9 Socialization and Good Manners. What Every Good Dog Should Know. Topics to be addressed will include basic manners all dogs should know as well as cover popular questions like: How important is a basic obedience class? What does socialization mean to me and my dog? How do I get my dog to listen to me? Bring your dog (if you want) and meet Certified Dog Trainer Donna Savoie for a fun session and lively discussion.
  • First Aid for Pets. We will discuss what you can do at home to evaluate and triage your pet. We will go over how to assess your pet´s vitals and decide if home care is viable or if further medical attention is needed. We will also touch upon use of your medication for your pet – what is safe and what is toxic.
  • Home Dental Care and Health Tips. Our final session will cover routine preventative health care at home. Dental health is an often overlooked yet easy thing to do with lots of home options from a toothbrush to treats and toys. Routine grooming involves selecting an appropriate shampoo, checking ear health and keeping nails at an appropriate length. These are simple home health care procedures that not only keep your pet looking and feeling its best, it also helps you notice potential problems early so they can be addressed by us before they become major health issues.
